“You must not spread a false report. Don’t join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness.


He who answers before he hears, that is folly and shame to him.


“‘Whoever kills any person, the murderer must be put to death based on the testimony of witnesses. But no one is to be put to death on the testimony of one witness.


Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there judging me according to the law, but then you violate the law by ordering that I be struck?”


Y’all must not show partiality in judgment. Y’all are to listen to the small and the great alike. Y’all must not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God’s. If a case is too hard for y’all, y’all may bring to me, and I will hear it.”


At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, a person who is to be executed must be executed. At the mouth of one witness a person must not be executed.
