Then YHWH God took the human and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate and protect it.


Therefore YHWH God sent him out from the garden of Eden to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.


All the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over. The king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over toward the way of the wilderness.


He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah. Asa cut down her image and burned it at the brook Kidron.


For on the day you go out and pass over the brook Kidron, you will know-know that you will die-die. Your blood will be on your own head.”


The king broke down the altars that were on the roof of the upper room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of YHWH, and beat them down from there, and cast their dust into the brook Kidron.


The king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring out of the temple of YHWH all the vessels that were made for Baal, for the Asherah, and for all the army of the sky; and he burned them outside of Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.


He brought out the Asherah from the house of YHWH, outside of Jerusalem, to the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and beat it to dust, and cast its dust on the graves of the common people.


Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen mother, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; so Asa cut down her image, ground it into dust, and burned it at the brook Kidron.


The priests went into the inner part of the house of YHWH to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of YHWH into the court of the house of YHWH. The Levites took it from there to carry it out to the brook Kidron.


They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and they took away all the altars for incense and threw them into the brook Kidron.


Then I went up in the night by the brook and inspected the wall; and I turned back, and entered by the valley gate, and so returned.


The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, will be holy to YHWH. It will not be plucked up or thrown down any more forever.”


You are to cut it in pieces, and pour oil on it. It is a grain offering.


When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.


Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples, “Y’all sit here while I go over there and pray.”

They came to a place which was named Gethsemane. He told his disciples, “Y’all sit here while I pray.”


Y’all get up! Let’s go. Look, he who betrays me is approaching.”


but that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded me. Y’all get up, let’s go from here.


One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”


He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his feet and hands, and said, “This is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘The Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the ethnic groups.’”
