Let’s go early up to the vineyards. Let’s see whether the vine has budded, and its blossoms have opened, and the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love.


In that day, the branch of YHWH will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the beauty and glory of the survivors of Israel.


Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.


to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of YHWH, that he may be glorified.


Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard. They have trodden my portion under foot. They have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.


Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a pure and faithful seed. How then have you turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine to me?


“‘Your mother was like a vine in your blood, planted by the waters. It was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.


Israel is a luxuriant vine that produces his fruit. According to the abundance of his fruit he has multiplied his altars. As their land has prospered, they have adorned their sacred stones.


Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, are men who are a sign that I will bring out my servant, the Branch.


But he answered, “Every plant my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.


“For the Empire of Heaven is like a human landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.


“Y’all listen to another parable: There was a human landowner who planted a vineyard. He placed a wall around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a watchtower. Then he leased it out to tenant farmers and went on a journey.


He began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the wine press, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some farmers and went into another country.


Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he went looking for fruit on it but didn’t find any.


For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.


The true light that shines on all humans was coming into the world.


Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, ʜᴇ takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, ʜᴇ cleans, that it may bear more fruit.


Then, Jesus told them, “Very truly, I tell y’all, it wasn’t Moses who gave y’all the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives y’all the true bread from heaven.


For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.


But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive branch, were grafted in among them and became co-participant of the root and the richness of the olive tree,


For we are God’s fellow workers. Y’all are God’s field, God’s building.


Yet I write a new commandment to y’all which is true in him and in y’all, because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines.
