Have you made him to leap as a locust? The glory of his snorting is awesome.


The earth is YHWH’s, with its fullness, the world, and those who dwell in it.


Pour out your wrath on the nations that don’t know you, and on the families that don’t call on your name. For they have devoured Jacob. Yes, they have devoured him, consumed him, and have laid waste his habitation.


But the shameful thing has devoured the labor of our ancestors from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.


Therefore all those who devour you will be devoured. All your adversaries, everyone of them, will go into captivity. Those who plunder you will be plunder. I will make all who prey on you become prey.


For YHWH says: “We have heard a cries of terror— fear, not prosperity.


I looked at the mountains, and they trembled; and all the hills moved back and forth.


A lion has gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations. He is on his way. He has left his place to make your land desolate. Your cities be laid waste, without inhabitant.


At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong ones, at the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers don’t look back for their children because their hands are so feeble,


They will eat up your harvest and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat. They will eat up your flocks and your herds. They will eat up your vines and your fig trees. They will beat down your fortified cities in which you trust with the sword.


They take up bow and spear. They are cruel, and have no mercy. Their voice roars like the sea. They ride on horses, everyone set in array, as a man to the battle, against you, daughter of Babylon.


The land trembles and is in pain, for the purposes of YHWH against Babylon stand, to make the land of Babylon a desolation, without inhabitant.


They take hold of bow and spear. They are cruel, and have no mercy. Their voice roars like the sea, and they ride on horses, everyone set in array, as a man to the battle, against you, daughter of Zion.”


The noise of the whip, the noise of the rattling of wheels, prancing horses, and bounding chariots,


The mountains saw you, and were afraid. The storm of waters passed by. The deep roared and lifted up its hands on high.


for “the earth is the Lord’s [YHWH], and its fullness.”


But if someone says to y’all, “This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told y’all, and for the sake of conscience.


They called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel; however the name of the city used to be Laish.


Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, to YHWH at Mizpah.


Then the horse hoofs stamped because of the prancing, the prancing of their strong ones.
