YHWH said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will wipe-wipe the memory of Amalek from under the sky.”


Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it on a scroll, that it may be for the time to come a witness forever.


YHWH said to me, “Take a large tablet, and write on it with an ordinary pen: Maher-Shalal-Hash Baz.


I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.


The word that came to Jeremiah from YHWH, saying,


“Get another scroll, and write in it all the words that were in the first scroll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.


Then Jeremiah took another scroll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote what Jeremiah dictated, all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And many similar words were added to them.


But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run back and forth, and knowledge will be increased.”


For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.


Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our warning, on whom the outcomes of the ages have come.


“Now y’all are to write this song for yourselves*, and teach it to the children of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.


For no prophecy ever came by human will, but humans spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.


saying, “What you see, write on a scroll and send to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”


Therefore, you must write the things that you have seen, what is, and what will come.
