though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten.


When you rebuke and correct a person for iniquity, you consume their wealth like a moth. Surely every human is but a breath.” Selah.


Look, Lord YHWH will help me! Who is he who will condemn me? Indeed, they will all wear out like a garment. The moths will eat them up.


For the moth will eat them up like a garment, and the worm will eat them like wool; but my righteousness will be forever, and my salvation to all generations.”


As the partridge that sits on eggs that she has not laid, so is the one who gets riches by unjust means. In the middle of their days, it will forsake them. At the end, they will be fools.

Y’all must sell your possessions and give to the poor. Y’all must make purses for yourselves that won’t wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.


For if someone comes into y’all’s gathering with a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor person in dirty clothes also comes in,


to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that will never fade away, reserved in heaven for y’all,
