In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.


The king of Assyria listened to him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and took it, and carried its people captive to Kir, and killed Rezin.


Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against him, and Hoshea became his servant and paid him tribute.


The burden of Damascus. “Look, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.


The fortress will cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria. They will be as the glory of the children of Israel,” says YHWH Almighty.


The fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley, will be like a ripe fig before the summer. Whoever sees it, picks and eats it immediately.


Adding to this YHWH spoke to me further, saying,


YHWH says: “For three transgressions of Damascus, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron;


I will break the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the valley of Aven, and him who holds the scepter from the house of Eden; and the people of Syria will go into captivity to Kir,” says YHWH.


Shouldn’t I be concerned for Nineveh, that massive city, in which are more than one hundred twenty thousand persons who can’t discern between their right hand and their left hand, and also many animals?”


And even before they were born or had done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to election would remain (not of works, but from the one who calls),


And y’all’s little ones, whom y’all said would be captured or killed, y’all’s children, who today have no knowledge of good or evil, will enter there. I will give it to them, and they will possess it.
