The earth has yielded its increase. God, even our own God, will bless us.


May there be an abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.


You are to make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.


but he will judge the poor with righteousness, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.


In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city. God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.


In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bud. They will fill the surface of the world with fruit.


Hᴇ will give the rain for your seed to sow the ground; and bread of the yield of the ground will be rich and plentiful. In that day, your livestock will feed in large pastures.


Y’all rain, O heavens above, and let the skies pour down righteousness. Let the earth open, that it may produce salvation, and let it cause righteousness to spring up with it. I, YHWH, have created it.


For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.


“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.


Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.


For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up, so Lord YHWH will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.


“Look! The days are coming,” says YHWH, “when I will raise for David a righteous Branch. And he will reign as king and deal wisely, and will do what is just and righteous in the land.


“In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.


None of the remnant of Judah who have gone into the land of Egypt to live there will escape or be left to return into the land of Judah where they want to return to live there. For no one will return except those who will escape.’”


Those who escape the sword will return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah few in number. All the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to live there, will know whose word will stand, mine or theirs.


I will raise up to them a plantation for renown, and they will no more be consumed with famine in the land, and not bear the shame of the nations any more.


“‘“But y’all, mountains of Israel, y’all will grow branches and yield your* fruit to my people Israel for they will arrive soon.


But of those who escape, they will escape and will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, everyone in his iniquity.


Then everyone who calls on the name of YHWH will be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as YHWH has said, and among the remnant, those whom YHWH calls.


It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters; and a fountain will flow out from the house of YHWH, and will water the valley of Shittim.


But in Mount Zion, there will be those who escape, and it will be holy. The house of Jacob will possess their possessions.


Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, are men who are a sign that I will bring out my servant, the Branch.


and speak to him, saying, ‘YHWH Almighty says, “Look, the man whose name is the Branch! He will grow up out of his place, and he will build the temple of YHWH.


How lovely and how beautiful! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.


”They will be mine,” says YHWH Almighty, “on the day when I prepare my own possession. I will spare them just as a man spares his own son who serves him.


If those days had not been cut short, no life would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.


But y’all be watchful at all times, praying that y’all may be counted worthy to escape all that is about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Humanity.”


The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.


For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.


For we didn’t follow cleverly devised fables when we made known to y’all the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
