to fulfill the word of YHWH by Jeremiah’s mouth, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. As long as it lay desolate, it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.


and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, will be few; for YHWH, the God of Israel, has spoken it.”


“In that day,” says YHWH Almighty, “the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for YHWH has spoken it.”


Look, YHWH makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.


It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.


The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.


But this is a robbed and plundered people. All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prisons. They have become captives, and no one delivers, and a plunder, and no one says, ‘Restore them!’


I will lay it a wasteland. It won’t be pruned or hoed, but it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.”


Then I said, “Lord, how long?” He answered, “Until cities are waste without inhabitant, houses without man, the land becomes utterly waste,


Y’all must listen, turn an ear, and not be proud, for YHWH has spoken.


therefore, mountains of Israel, y’all must listen to the word of Lord YHWH: Lord YHWH says to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which have become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are all around;


In that day they will take up a parable against y’all, and lament with a mournful lamentation, saying, ‘We are destroyed-destroyed! My people’s possession is divided up. Indeed he takes it from me and assigns our fields to traitors!’”


But every human will sit under his vine and under his fig tree. No one will make them afraid, for the mouth of YHWH Almighty has spoken.


that all of its land is sulfur, salt, and burning, that it is not sown, doesn’t produce, nor does any grass grow in it, like the overthrow of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which YHWH overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath.


YHWH rooted them out of their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and thrust them into another land, as it is today.”
