I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plumb line of Ahab’s house; and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.


“Please remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If y’all are unfaithful, I will scatter y’all among the nations.


YHWH preserves the foreigners. Hᴇ upholds the fatherless and widow, but ʜᴇ turns the way of the wicked upside down.


Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in YHWH Almighty’ wrath, and in the day of his fierce anger.


They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even YHWH, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.


People will go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of YHWH, and from the glory of ʜɪꜱ majesty, when ʜᴇ arises to shake the earth mightily.


The earth is devastated-devastated. The earth is broken-broken. The earth is shaken-shaken.


The earth will stagger-stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again.

Then set it empty on its coals, that it may be hot, and its bronze may burn, and that its filthiness may be molten in it, that its rust may be consumed.


Lord YHWH says: “When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.


“‘Moreover I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations that are around you, in the sight of all that pass by.


You are to burn a third in the fire at the center of the city when the days of the siege have ended. Then you are to strike a third with the sword all around the city. Scatter a third to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.


I will stretch out my hand on them and make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness toward Diblah, throughout all their habitations. Then they will know that I am YHWH.’”


In all y’all’s dwelling places, the cities will be laid waste and the high places will be demolished, so that y’all’s altars will be demolished and runed, and y’all’s idols may be broken and cease, and y’all’s incense altars may be cut down, and y’all’s works may be blotted out.


The time has come! The day draws near. Don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.


They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is on all its multitude.


The mountains quake before ʜɪᴍ, and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, yes, the world, and all who dwell in it.
