Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder; and he supplied the king of Israel with one hundred thousand lambs and the wool of one hundred thousand rams.


Like a fluttering sparrow, like a darting swallow, so the undeserved curse doesn’t come to rest.


As a bird that wanders from her nest, so is a person who wanders from his home.


Like a hunted gazelle and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.


Moab is disgraced, for it has been shattered. Wail and cry out! Y’all must announce by the Arnon that Moab has been destroyed.


Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh are undone; for your sons are taken away captive, and your daughters into captivity.


Y’all give wings to Moab, so that she may fly away. Her cities will become a desolation, without anyone to dwell in them.
