Your rulers are rebellious and companions of thieves. Everyone loves bribes and follows after rewards. They don’t defend the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come to them.


What has my beloved to do in my house, since she has behaved lewdly with many, and the holy flesh has passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.”


My inheritance has become to me as a lion in the forest. She has roared against me. Therefore I have hated her.


Then YHWH said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!


I saw when, for this very cause, that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce, yet treacherous Judah, her sister, had no fear, but she also went and played the prostitute.


I will go to the great men and will speak to them, for they know the way of YHWH, and the law of their God.” But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.


Her princes within it are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.


So she uncovered her prostitution and uncovered her nakedness. Then my soul was alienated from her, just like my soul was alienated from her sister.


She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer show love to the house of Israel. I will not forgive-forgive them.


Hᴇ said, “You are to name him Lo-Ammi, for y’all are not my people, and I will not be y’all’s God.


If Gilead is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.


YHWH also has a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his deeds he will repay him.


For the children of Israel will live many days without king, without prince, without sacrifice, without sacred stone, and without ephod or idols.


“Although you, Israel, play the prostitute, do not let Judah become guilty. And both of y’all must not go to Gilgal, nor up to Beth Aven, And y’all must not swear, ‘As YHWH lives.’


It will be like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.


They don’t consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are before my face.


My God will cast them away, because they didn’t listen to him; and they will be wanderers among the nations.


They won’t dwell in YHWH’s land; but Ephraim will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean food in Assyria.


I will destroy y’all’s high places, cut down y’all’s incense altars, and cast y’all’s dead bodies upon the bodies of y’all’s idols. My soul will abhor y’all.


“y’all must go to Bethel and rebel; In Gilgal, y’all are to rebel more. Bring y’all’s sacrifices every morning, y’all’s tithes every three days,


Therefore I will drive y’all into exile beyond Damascus,” says YHWH, whose name is the God of Armies.


but y’all must not seek Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and y’all must not cross over to Beersheba; for Gilgal will be taken captive-captive, and Bethel will come to nothing.


Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money; yet they lean on YHWH, and say, “Isn’t YHWH among us? No disaster will come on us.”


My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of YHWH.”


Her princes within her are roaring lions. Her judges are evening wolves. They leave nothing until the next day.


I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.


“The truth is that Herod and Pontius Pilate gathered together in this city with the ethnic groups and the people of Israel against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,

Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp to Gilgal.


He went from year to year in a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah; and he judged Israel in all those places.
