“You must have no other gods before me.


Now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. See, my angel will go before you. Nevertheless, on the day when I punish, I will punish them for their sin.”


The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination— how much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!


“What are y’all’s abundant sacrifices to me?”, says YHWH. “I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed animals. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats.

To what purpose does frankincense from Sheba come to me, and the sweet cane from a far country? Y’all’s burnt offerings are not acceptable, and y’all’s sacrifices are not pleasing to me.”
