Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As YHWH, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there will not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”


Now Elisha had spoken to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise, and go, you and your household, and stay for a while wherever you can; for YHWH has called for a famine. It will also come on the land for seven years.”


When ʜᴇ remains quiet, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? Hᴇ is over a nation or a man alike,


“Judah mourns, and its gates languish. They sit in black on the ground. The cry of Jerusalem goes up.


“They have heard that I sigh. There is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble. They are glad that you have done it. You will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they will be like me.


Seek him who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns the shadow of death into the morning, and makes the day dark with night; who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth, YHWH is his name,


This is what Lord YHWH showed me: Lord YHWH called for judgment by fire, and it dried up the great deep, and would have devoured the land.


It is he who builds his rooms in the heavens, and has founded his vault on the earth; he who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth—YHWH is his name.


I struck y’all with blight, mildew, and hail in all the work of y’all’s hands, but y’all didn’t turn to me,’ declares YHWH.


Is the seed yet in the barn? Yes, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree haven’t produced. From today I will bless you.’”


For y’all’s sake, I will rebuke the devourer so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground, and the vines in the field will not drop its fruit before harvest,” says YHWH Almighty.


Y’all are under a severe curse—this whole nation—because y’all are robbing me.


YHWH will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with fiery heat, with the sword, with blight, and with mildew. They will pursue you until you perish.
