The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.


For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are yet five years, in which there will be no plowing and no harvest.


Only he didn’t buy the land of the priests, for the priests had a portion from Pharaoh, and ate their portion which Pharaoh gave them. That is why they didn’t sell their land.


At the harvests, y’all will give a fifth to Pharaoh. The other four parts will be your* own, as seed for the field, as food for y’all and your* households, and food for y’all’s little ones.”

Blessed are those who are considerate of the poor. YHWH will deliver them in the day of evil.


People curse someone who withholds grain, but a blessing will come on the head of the one who sells it.


Those who tills their land will have plenty of bread, but the one who chases fantasies is lacks sense.


An abundance of food is in poor people’s fields, but injustice sweeps it away.


In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening don’t withhold your hand; for you don’t know which will prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both will be equally good.


For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;


“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has set over the household, to give them their food in due season?
