That which was torn of animals, I didn’t bring to you. I bore its loss. Of my hand you required it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.


Reuben spoke to his father, saying, “Kill my two sons, if I don’t bring him to you. Entrust him to my care, and I will bring him to you again.”


for if we hadn’t delayed, surely we would have returned a second time by now.”


Surely I will require accounting for y’all’s lifeblood. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of every human, even at the hand of every person’s brother or sister, I will require the life of person.

Because you have not given him warning, he will die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered; but I will require his blood at your hand.


But if the watchman sees the sword come and doesn’t blow the trumpet, and the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’


When I tell the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you don’t speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.


so that this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the foundation of the world,


Accordingly, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
