Reuben spoke to his father, saying, “Kill my two sons, if I don’t bring him to you. Entrust him to my care, and I will bring him to you again.”


May God Almighty give y’all mercy before the man, that he may release y’all’s other brother and Benjamin to y’all. If I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.”


He searched, beginning with the oldest, and ending at the youngest. The cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.


Israel said, “It is enough. Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”


Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all of his father’s household with bread, according to the sizes of their families.


Oh remember that my life is a breath. My eye will no more see good.


Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but YHWH delivers him out of them all.


Better is the end of a thing than its beginning. The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.


Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherah poles and the incense altars will stand no longer.

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.


YHWH says: “A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children. She refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.”


Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”


We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to ʜɪꜱ purpose.


What then should we say about all of this? If God is for us, who can be against us?


No temptation has overtaken y’all except what is common to humankind. God is faithful, and he will not allow y’all to be tempted beyond what y’all are able, but with the temptation will make the way of escape, so that y’all will be able to endure it.


For our momentary, lightweight oppression is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.


David said in his heart, “I will now perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should escape-escape into the land of the Philistines. Saul will give up seeking me any more in all the borders of Israel. So I will escape out of his hand.”
