By this y’all will be tested. By the life of Pharaoh, y’all will not leave here, unless y’all’s youngest brother comes here.


If y’all are honest men, then let one of y’all’s brothers be bound in y’all’s prison while the rest of y’all go and carry grain for the famine in y’all’s households.


They loaded their donkeys with their grain, and departed from there.


The man, the lord of the land, said to us, ‘By this I will know that y’all are honest men: leave one of y’all’s brothers with me, and take grain for the famine of y’all’s houses, and go y’all’s way.


Y’all must bring y’all’s youngest brother to me. Then I will know that y’all are not spies, and that y’all are honest men. So I will deliver y’all’s brother back to y’all, and y’all will be allowed to trade in the land.’”

Judah spoke to him, saying, “The man warned-warned us, saying, ‘Y’all will not see my face, unless y’all’s brother is with y’all.’

You said to your servants, ‘Y’all bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.’


You said to y’all’s servants, ‘Unless y’all’s youngest brother comes down with y’all, y’all will see my face no more.’


Thus Noah did all that God commanded him, indeed he did.


His mother said to the deacons, “Whatever he tells y’all—y’all do it.”
