One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. At that time, he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. They were allies of Abram.


Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were bound, and he was there in custody.


When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also had a dream. There were three baskets of white bread were on my head.


There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. He interpreted to each man according to his dream.


They bruised his feet with shackles. His neck was locked in irons,


for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.


“Anyone who kidnaps someone and sells him, or if he is found in his hand, he must be executed-executed.


My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not hurt me, because innocence was found in me before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”


Jesus answered them, “I have shown y’all many excellent works from my Father. For which of those works do y’all stone me?”

See, my father! Look at the edge of your robe in my hand! I cut off the edge of your robe but didn’t kill you. So realize and see that there is neither evil nor disobedience in my hand. I have not sinned against you, though you hunt for my life to take it.
