She called the name of YHWH who spoke to her, “You are ‘The God Who Sees,’” for she said, “Have I even stayed alive after seeing him?”


He called the name of that place Bethel, though the name of the city had been Luz.


God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Paddan Aram, and blessed him.


Then Jeroboam built Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and lived in it; and he went out from there and built Penuel.


Hᴇ said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”


Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the King, YHWH Almighty!”


For all the armor of the armed man in the noisy battle, and the garments rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.


With him, I will speak mouth to mouth, clearly, not in riddles; and he will see the form of YHWH. Why then were y’all not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”


No one has ever seen God, but the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, has made ʜɪᴍ known.


For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I am also fully known.


And we all, with unveiled faces are reflecting the glory of the Lord, being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, according to the Lord, who is the Spirit.


For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.


I marvel that y’all are so quickly deserting the one who called you* in the grace of Christ to a different gospel,


that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to y’all a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of ʜɪᴍ,


Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom YHWH knew face to face,


and y’all said, “Look, YHWH our God has shown us ʜɪꜱ glory and ʜɪꜱ greatness, and we have heard ʜɪꜱ voice from the midst of the fire. We have seen today that God can speak with humans, and they still live.


The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.


but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.


By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s wrath. He persevered, because he saw the invisible one.


When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked and saw a man stood in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our enemies?”


Manoah said to the Angel of YHWH, “What is your name, that when your words happen, we may honor you?”


The Angel of YHWH said to him, “Why do you ask about my name, since it is incomprehensible?”


He tore down the tower of Penuel, and killed the men of the city.


He went up there to Penuel, and spoke to them in the same way; and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered.
