Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year one hundred times what he planted. YHWH blessed him.


Rebekah took the good clothes of Esau, her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob, her younger son.


His father Isaac said to him, “Come near now, and kiss me, my son.”


Isaac his father answered him, “Indeed, your dwelling will be away from the richness of the earth, and away from the dew of the heaven from above.


Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he couldn’t see well. Joseph brought them near to him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.


He blessed Joseph, and said, “The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day,


You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop.


The fig tree ripens her green figs. The vines are in blossom. They give out their fragrance. Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.”


About Joseph he said, “His land is blessed by YHWH, for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, for the deep that couches beneath,


By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau regarding their future.


For the ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and produces a crop suitable for those who till it, receives blessing from God.
