He didn’t recognize him, because his hands were hairy, like his brother Esau’s hands. So he blessed him.


He said, “Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s game, that my soul may bless you.” He brought it near to him, and he ate. He brought him wine, and he drank.


The king said to her, “What ails you?” She answered, “Truly I am a widow, and my husband is dead.


He said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of YHWH, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” He lied to him.


For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the language of the crafty.


Truth’s lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary.


Lying lips are an abomination to YHWH, but those who do the truth are ʜɪꜱ delight.


Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me,


These are the things that y’all must do: every one of y’all must speak the truth to one another. And y’all are to render judgments of truth and peace in y’all’s city gates.


Therefore, y’all must put away falsehood and speak truthfully each one to their neighbor, for we are members of one another.


Y’all must not lie to one another since y’all have laid aside the old humanity with its practices,


He changed his behavior before them and pretended to be insane in their hands, and scribbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down on his beard.
