Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.


When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led out his three hundred eighteen trained men, born in his house, and pursued as far as Dan.


Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I am worn out, will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”


Now therefore, restore the man’s wife. For he is a prophet and he will pray for you, and you will live. If you don’t restore her, know for sure that you die-die, you, and all who are yours.”


At that time, Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, “God is with you in all that you do.


The children of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him,


Abraham rose up and bowed to the people of the land, to the children of Heth.

Then she said, “Let me find favor in your eyes, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not one of your servants.”
