So Abram went as YHWH had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.


When Abram was ninety-nine years old, YHWH appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.


Y’all are to be circumcised in the flesh of y’all’s foreskin. It will be a sign of the covenant between me and y’all.


Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, “Will a child be born to him who is one hundred years old? Will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?”


Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age. Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.


Abraham was one hundred years old when his son, Isaac, was born to him.


He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness from the faith he had while still uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all those who believe while uncircumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them too.
