Genesis 11:31 - Y'all Version Bible

31 Terah took Abram his son, Lot the son of Haran, his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife. They went from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan. They came to Haran and lived there.

The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon—as you go toward Gerar—to Gaza—as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim—to Lasha.


The days of Terah were two hundred five years. Terah died in Haran.


So Abram went as YHWH had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.


Abram took Sarai his wife, Lot his brother’s son, all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they went to go into the land of Canaan. They entered into the land of Canaan.


They took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.


Then he said to Abram, “I am YHWH who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this land to inherit it.”


The servant took ten of his master’s camels, and departed, having a variety of good things of his master’s with him. He arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.


Before he had finished speaking, there was Rebekah with her pitcher on her shoulder! She was the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother.


Now therefore, my son, obey my voice. Arise, flee to Laban, my brother, in Haran.


Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.


Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed—Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the children of Eden who were in Telassar?


You are YHWH, the God who chose Abram, brought him out of Ur of the Chaldees, gave him the name of Abraham,


While he was still speaking, another came and said, “The Chaldeans made three bands, and swept down on the camels, and have taken them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”


Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the children of Eden who were in Telassar?


By faith, Abraham when he was called, obeyed by going to a place where he would later receive an inheritance. He set out, without knowing where he was going.
