Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah and Benjamin, the priests and the Levites, all whose spirit God had stirred to go up, rose up to build the house of YHWH which is in Jerusalem.


But Zerubbabel, Jeshua, and the rest of the head fathers of Israel said to them, “Y’all won’t have any part with us in building a house to our God, because we are united in building to YHWH, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.”


The elders of the Jews built and prospered, through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. They built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the decree of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

YHWH says to Cyrus ʜɪꜱ anointed, whose right hand I have hold in order to subdue nations before him, strip kings of their armor, and open-open the doors before him, and the gates will not be shut:

For YHWH says, “After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit y’all and fulfill my good word toward y’all, to return y’all to this place.
