When Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign language,


and brought out Israel from among them, for ʜɪꜱ lovingkindness endures forever,


with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm, for ʜɪꜱ lovingkindness endures forever.

“‘For seven days y’all are to eat unleavened bread. Indeed, on the first day y’all are to remove yeast from y’all’s houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that life will be cut off from Israel.


Y’all are to observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for in this very day I have brought y’all’s divisions out of the land of Egypt. Therefore y’all must observe this day throughout y’all’s generations as a permanent ordinance.


For seven days, there must be no yeast found in y’all’s houses. For whoever eats something is leavened, that life will be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether they are a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.


This month is to be the beginning of months for y’all, the first month of y’all’s year.


At the end of four hundred thirty years, to the day, all of YHWH’s armies went out from the land of Egypt.


It is a night to be much observed to YHWH for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of YHWH, to be much observed by all the children of Israel throughout their generations.


They must eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, with unleavened bread. They must eat it with bitter herbs.


When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you are to tell him, ‘By strength of hand YHWH brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.


This will be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that YHWH’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand YHWH has brought you out of Egypt.


“I am YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.


“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.


You are to observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out of Egypt), and no one is to appear before me empty.


I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do among them, and after that he will let y’all go.


“You must keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out of Egypt.


YHWH said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he will let them go, and because of a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”


Therefore you are to tell the children of Israel, ‘I am YHWH, and I will bring y’all out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rescue y’all from their bondage. I will redeem y’all with an outstretched arm, and with great acts of judgment.


I will take y’all as my people. I will be y’all’s God, and y’all will know that I am YHWH, y’all’s God, who brought y’all out from under the forced labor of the Egyptians.


But Pharaoh will not listen to y’all, so I will lay my hand on Egypt and bring out my military divisions, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment.


“YHWH, the God of Israel, says: ‘I made a covenant with y’all’s ancestors in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, saying:


“Now, Lord our God, who has brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten yourself renown, as it is today, we have sinned. We have done wickedly.


As y’all enter the house, give it your* greeting.


He took bread, and after giving thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for y’all. Y’all do this in remembrance of me.”

Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old yeast, or with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

You must stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.


All Israel will hear, and fear, and they will not do any more wickedness like this among you.


That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, must be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against YHWH y’all’s God, who brought y’all out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to draw you aside out of the way which YHWH your God commanded you to walk in. So you must remove the evil from among you.


If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods”—which you have not known, you, nor your ancestors;


You must remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and YHWH your God redeemed you. Therefore I command you this today.


Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to YHWH your God; for in the month of Abib YHWH your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

You must remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and YHWH your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore YHWH your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.


“I am YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.


then be careful not to forget YHWH, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.


then you are to tell your son, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. YHWH brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand,


but because YHWH loves y’all, and kept the oath which ʜᴇ swore to y’all’s ancestors, YHWH has brought y’all out with a mighty hand and redeemed y’all out of the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.


then your heart might be lifted up in pride and you forget YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.


YHWH said to me, “Arise, get down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned away from the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten image for themselves!”


For it is YHWH our God who brought us and our ancestors up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the peoples through the middle of whom we passed.


They abandoned YHWH, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; and they provoked YHWH to anger.


YHWH sent a prophet to the children of Israel, and he said to them, “YHWH, the God of Israel, says, ‘I brought y’all up from Egypt, and brought y’all out of the house of bondage.
