But the king spared Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of YHWH’s oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.


Why then have you not kept the oath of YHWH and the commandment that I have instructed you with?”


All the princes, the mighty men, and also all of the sons of King David submitted themselves to Solomon the king.


the oath of YHWH must be between them both, he has not put his hand on his neighbor’s goods; and its owner must accept it, and he does not have to make restitution.


My son, fear YHWH and the king. Don’t join those who are rebellious,


Remind them to be subject to rulers and to authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,


When the people had come to the forest, they saw honey dripping, but no one put his hand to his mouth, because they feared the oath.
