Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?


The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.


The slothful do not roast their game, but the possessions of diligent person are valued.


The soul of the sluggard craves, but has nothing, while the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.


The sluggard will not plow by reason of the winter; So he begs during the harvest and have nothing.


How long will you sleep, sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep?


The words of a wise person’s mouth are gracious; but a fool is swallowed by their own lips.


One will devour on the right hand, and be hungry; and he will eat on the left hand, and they will not be satisfied. Everyone will eat the flesh of his own arm:
