Deuteronomy 24:2

They must not marry a widow or a divorced woman, but they are to marry virgins from the offspring of the house of Israel, or a widow who is the widow of a priest.


He must not marry a widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled by prostitution. He must take a virgin of his own people as a wife.


“‘They must not marry a woman who is profaned by prostitute, and they must not marry a woman divorced from her husband, because he is holy to his God.


But if a priest’s daughter is a widow, or divorced, and has no child, and has returned to her father’s house as in her youth, she may eat of her father’s food. But no outsider may eat any of it.


“But the vow of a widow or a divorced woman, everything by which she has bound her soul, will be binding on her.


but I tell y’all that whoever divorces his wife, except for the reason of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.


He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.


Yet if the unbeliever leaves, let them leave. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but in peace God has called y’all.


When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found something shameful about her, and he may write her a certificate of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.


If the latter husband hates her, and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband dies, who took her to be his wife;
