15 Now when y’all hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music if y’all are ready to fall down and worship the image that I have made, good. But if y’all don’t worship, y’all will be cast the same hour into the middle of a burning fiery furnace. What god who will deliver you from my hands?”

Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that YHWH should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”


Yet now, if you will, forgive their sin—and if not, please blot me out of your book which you have written.”


Pharaoh said, “Who is YHWH, that I should listen to his voice to let Israel go? I don’t know YHWH, and moreover I will not let Israel go.”


Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.


The king answered to Daniel, and said, “Surely, y’all’s God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of mysteries, since you have been able to reveal this mystery.”


But if you don’t make known to me the dream, there is but one law for you; for you have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, until the situation changes. Therefore tell me the dream, and I will know that you can show me its interpretation.”


If our God whom we serve exists, ʜᴇ is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and ʜᴇ will deliver us from your hand, O king.


Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you.”


When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a troubled voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?”


But when they arrest y’all, don’t be anxious about what y’all will say. For at that time, y’all will be given what to say.


He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if ʜᴇ delights in him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”


When they arrest y’all and hand y’all over, y’all don’t worry beforehand about what to say, but y’all say whatever is given to y’all at that time. For it is not y’all who speak, but the Holy Spirit.


When y’all are brought before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, y’all mustn’t worry about how y’all will make a defense or what y’all will say,


If it bears fruit, fine; if not, after that, you can cut it down.’”


But Peter and John responded, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to y’all rather than to God, y’all be the judge,


But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than humans.


All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
