Therefore YHWH says: “Y’all should ask among the nations, ‘Who has heard such things?’ The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.


You are to cut off your hair, and throw it away, and take up a lamentation on the bare heights, because YHWH has rejected and forsaken the generation of ʜɪꜱ wrath.


I will weep and wail for the mountains, and lament for the pastures of the wilderness, because they are burned up, so that no one passes through; Men can’t hear the voice of the livestock. Both the birds of the sky and the animals have fled. They are gone.


YHWH Almighty says, “Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come. Send for the skillful women, that they may come.


Now y’all women, listen the word of YHWH. Let y’all’s ear receive the words from ʜɪꜱ mouth. Y’all are to teach your* daughters to wail. Every woman is to teach her neighbor a lamentation.


Shouldn’t I punish them for these things?” says YHWH. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on a nation such as this?


“Moreover, take up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,


Fire has spread out from its branches. It has devoured its fruit, so that there is in it no strong branch to be a scepter to rule.’ This is a lament, and should be for a lament.”


They will take up a lamentation over you, and tell you, “How you are destroyed, who were inhabited by seafaring men, the renowned city, who was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all who lived there!”


“You, son of humanity, take up a lamentation over Tyre;

Y’all must listen this word that YHWH has spoken against y’all, children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:


Y’all must listen to this word, cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who tell their husbands, “Bring us drinks!”


Therefore YHWH, the God of Armies, the Lord, says: “Wailing will be in all the wide ways. They will say in all the streets, ‘Alas! Alas!’ They will call the farmer to mourning, and those who are skillful in lamentation to wailing.


Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, ‘As your god, Dan, lives,’ and, ‘As the way of Beersheba lives,’ they will fall, and never rise up again.”


In that day they will take up a parable against y’all, and lament with a mournful lamentation, saying, ‘We are destroyed-destroyed! My people’s possession is divided up. Indeed he takes it from me and assigns our fields to traitors!’”
