However, because you have spurned-spurned YHWH as an enemy, the child born to you will die-die.”


Ahab came into his house sullen and angry because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him, for he had said, “I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” He laid himself down on his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.


To show partiality is not good, yet a person will do wrong for a piece of bread.


Woe to those who declare unrighteous decrees, and to those who write oppressive decrees ,


to deprive the poor of justice, and to rob the oppressed among my people of their rights, making widows their plunder, and that the fatherless their prey!


YHWH enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of ʜɪꜱ people: “Y’all have ruined the vineyard. The plunder of the poor is in y’all’s houses.


Why do y’all crush my people, and grind the face of the poor?” says the Lord, YHWH Almighty.


One has committed abomination with his neighbor’s wife, and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law. Another in you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.


When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned my holy name, in that men said of them, ‘These are YHWH’s people, and have left his land.’


I will not punish y’all’s daughters when they become prostitutes, or y’all’s brides when they commit adultery, because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes, so the people without understanding will come to ruin.


“‘You must not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife, and you must not uncover her nakedness.


“‘You must not give any of your children as a sacrifice to Molech. You must not profane the name of your God. I am YHWH.


“‘You must not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife. It is your father’s nakedness.


I also will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given of his offspring to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.


Y’all must listen to this word, cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who tell their husbands, “Bring us drinks!”


Therefore, because y’all trample on the poor and take a wheat tax, though y’all have built houses of cut stone, y’all will never dwell in them. Y’all have planted pleasant vineyards, but y’all will not drink their wine.


For I know how many are y’all’s offenses, and how great are y’all’s sins— Oppressing the just, taking a bribe, turning away the needy in the courts.


Y’all must listen to this, those who trample the needy, and cause the poor of the land to fail,


They covet fields and seize them, and houses, then take them away. They oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.


Y’all are forcing the women of my people out from their pleasant houses; from their young children you take away my blessing forever.


Her princes within her are roaring lions. Her judges are evening wolves. They leave nothing until the next day.


For “the name of God is blasphemed among the ethnic groups because of y’all.” just as it is written.


It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among y’all, and such sexual immorality as is not even among the ethnic groups, that a man has his father’s wife.
