“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”


But YHWH said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth,’ for you must go to whomever I send you, and you must say whatever I command you.


And y’all will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the ethnic groups.


Y’all didn’t choose me, but I chose y’all and appointed y’all so that y’all would go and bear fruit, and that y’all’s fruit should remain. And so that whatever y’all ask in my name, the Father will give to y’all.


While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Y’all must set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”


He greeted them and narrated every detail of how God worked among the ethnic groups through his deacon-work.


Then he said, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear speech from his mouth.


“He said to me, ‘Go! For I will send you far from here to the ethnic groups.’”


Then Agrippa said to Festus, “I would like to hear the man myself.” “Tomorrow,” he replied, “you will hear him.”


Agrippa said to Paul, “You are permitted to speak for yourself.” Then Paul motioned with his hand and began his defense.


Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”


and said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. See, God has graciously given you all those who sail with you.’


After three days had passed, Paul called together the leaders of the Jews. When they had assembled, he said to them, “Brothers, although I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors, I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.


“Therefore let it be known to y’all that the salvation of God has been sent to the other ethnic groups, and they will listen.”


Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,


through whom we received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the ethnic groups for his name’s sake;


For I speak to y’all, the ethnic groups. Insofar as I am an apostle to the ethnic groups, I magnify my deacon-work,


But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not futile. No, I worked more than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.


For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am under compulsion. Woe to me if I don’t preach the gospel!


Paul, an apostle—not from humans, nor by humans, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—


For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of y’all ethnic groups—


For this, I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, not lying), a teacher of the ethnic groups in faith and truth.


For this gospel I was appointed as a herald, apostle, and teacher,


No soldier on duty gets entangled in the affairs of everyday life, but rather seeks to please the commanding officer.


These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
