They brought up the ark of YHWH, the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent. The priests and the Levites brought these up.


and Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests, before YHWH’s tabernacle in the high place that was at Gibeon,


For YHWH’s tabernacle, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering, were at that time in the high place at Gibeon.


“So the children went in and possessed the land; and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hands, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they pleased.


You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.


Hᴇ also drove out the nations before them, allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.


You brought a vine out of Egypt. You drove out the nations, and planted it.


and after ʜᴇ had destroyed seven ethnic groups in the land of Canaan, ʜᴇ gave them their land for an inheritance.


“Go up into this mountain of Abarim, to Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab across from Jericho, and see the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel as a possession.


For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken later about another day.


The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.


“For YHWH has driven great and strong nations out from before y’all. But as for y’all, no one has stood before y’all to this day.


YHWH drove out all the peoples from before us, even the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will worship YHWH, for ʜᴇ is our God.”


So they set up for themselves Micah’s engraved image which he made, and it remained all the time that God’s house was in Shiloh.


So the people sent to Shiloh, and they brought from there the ark of the covenant of YHWH Almighty, who sits above the cherubim; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
