I know also, my God, that you try the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.


In addition, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, since I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house:


of gold for the things of gold, and of silver for the things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be made by the hands of artisans. Who then offers willingly to consecrate himself today to YHWH?”


Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to YHWH; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.


They conceive mischief and produce iniquity. Their heart prepares deceit.”

No one sues in righteousness, and no one pleads in truth. They trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.


“‘Lord YHWH says: “It will happen in that day that things will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.


Therefore, it is you and all your company who have gathered together against YHWH! Who is Aaron that y’all complain about him?”


Whoever listens to y’all listens to me, and whoever rejects y’all rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects ʜɪᴍ who sent me.”

But food does not commend us to God. For we are no worse if we do not eat, nor are we better if we do eat.

But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your goodness would not come from your compulsion, but from your willingness.


Then the desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and the sin, when it is fully grown, produces death.
