But I tell y’all that everyone who is enraged with their sibling will be subject to judgment. Whoever calls their sibling, ‘You good-for-nothing!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.


When daylight came, the council of the elders of the people, the chief priests, and scribes gathered together, and they led him away to their council, saying,


The next day, the commander still wanted to know the truth about why Paul was accused by the Jews, so he released him and ordered the chief priests and all the council to come together. Then he brought Paul down and had him stand before them.

But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time.


which incited the people, the elders, and the scribes. Then they came up to him, seized him, and took him to the Sanhedrin.
