For resentment kills the foolish man, and jealousy kills the simple.


The life of the body is a heart at peace, but envy rots the bones.


Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; but who is able to stand before jealousy?


Then I saw all the labor and achievement come from the envy of a one’s neighbor. This also is emptiness and a striving after wind.


For he knew that they had handed him over out of envy.


But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for his baptism, he said to them, “Y’all brood of vipers! Who warned y’all to flee from the wrath to come?


But the chief priests planned to kill Lazarus also,


So the Pharisees said so one another, “Don’t y’all see that you’ve accomplished nothing? Look, the world has gone after him.”


But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict the things Paul was saying and they vilified him.


But some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”


But other Jews became jealous, so they took some wicked men from the marketplace and formed a mob, and started a riot in the city. They attacked Jason’s house, trying to find Paul and Silas and bring them out to the public assembly.


The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers assemble together, against the Lord, and against his Christ.’


Annas the high priest was there, with Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and other relatives of the high priest.


Crowds also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.


“The patriarchs burned with jealousy against Joseph, and they sold him into Egypt. But God was with him
