When they had traversed the entire island and come to Paphos, they found a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,


After he saw the vision, we immediately prepared to go to Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.


When it was decided that we should sail to Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion of the Imperial Regiment named Julius.


But we must run aground on a certain island.”


When daylight came, they didn’t recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, and they decided to try to drive the ship onto it.


The rest were to follow, some on planks and some on other pieces of the ship. In this way, they all made it safely to land.
