Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, for he was hurrying to be in Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of Pentecost.


So y’all must be on guard! Remember that for a period of three years I never stopped warning each of y’all night and day with tears.


The next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he went into the temple, giving notice of the completion of the purification days until the offering was made for each of them.


At the same time, he also hoped Paul would give him a bribe, so he called on him frequently and talked with him.


that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my deacon-work which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,


So we urged Titus, that just as he had begun, he would also complete this act of grace for y’all.


For y’all know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, he became poor for y’all’s sake, so that through his poverty y’all might become rich.


For this deacon-work of service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.


They only asked that we would remember the poor, which I was also eager to do.
