But y’all beware of humans, for they will deliver y’all up to councils and flog y’all in their synagogues.


Then he released Barabbas to them, but he had Jesus flogged and delivered to be crucified.


When y’all are brought before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, y’all mustn’t worry about how y’all will make a defense or what y’all will say,


But Paul said to the officers, “They have beaten us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman men, and threw us into prison! And now they are releasing us secretly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out!”


But other Jews became jealous, so they took some wicked men from the marketplace and formed a mob, and started a riot in the city. They attacked Jason’s house, trying to find Paul and Silas and bring them out to the public assembly.


When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews united with one mind to attack Paul and brought him before the place of judgment,


So they summoned the apostles and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.


in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in overwork, in sleepless nights, in hunger,


Although we suffered and were mistreated in Philippi, as y’all know, we found confidence in our God to tell y’all the gospel of God amid deep opposition.


Others were tried by mocking and scourging, yes, even chains and imprisonment.


“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By his wounds, y’all were healed.”
