Mordecai walked every day in front of the court of the women’s house, to find out how Esther was doing, and what would become of her.


Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see whether they are still alive.” Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”


Therefore YHWH, the God of Israel, says against the shepherds who feed my people: “Y’all have scattered my flock, driven them away, and have not attended to them. Look! I am about to attend to y’all for y’all’s evil deeds,” says YHWH.


I was naked, and y’all clothed me. I was sick, and y’all took care of me. I was in prison, and y’all visited me.’


I was a stranger, and y’all didn’t invite me in. I was naked, and y’all didn’t clothe me. I was sick and in prison, and y’all didn’t visit me.’


When the proconsul saw what happened, he believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.


So being sent out by the Holy Spirit they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.


But Paul and Barnabas shook off the dust of their feet against them and went to Iconium.


It happened again in Iconium, where they entered the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed.


They preached the gospel in that city and made many disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,


they found out and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe, and to the surrounding region.


“But when he was forty years old, it entered his heart to visit his siblings, the children of Israel.


For I long to see y’all, that I may impart to you* some spiritual gift so that y’all may be established;


Besides everything else, there is a daily pressure on me—my concern for all the churches.


Only y’all should conduct yourselves* in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come to see y’all or remain absent, I will hear that y’all are standing firm in one spirit and one mind, striving for the faith of the gospel;


But Timothy has just now come to us from y’all, and brought us good news of y’all’s faith and love, and that y’all have pleasant memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see y’all.


longing to see you, remembering your tears, so that I may be filled with joy.
