Isn’t my house so with God? Yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation and all my desire. Won’t he make it grow?


Turn y’all’s ear and come to me. Listen, and y’all’s soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with y’all, even the sure mercies of David.


but they will serve YHWH their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.


then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”


Afterward the children of Israel will return and seek YHWH their God, and David their king. They will come with trembling to YHWH and to his blessings in the last days.


In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old,


In that day YHWH will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and David’s house will be like God, like the Angel of YHWH before them.


But God raised him from the dead,


that God has fulfilled this for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, ‘You are my Son. Today I have begotten you.’


But the one whom God raised up did not see decay.


But God raised him up, releasing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for him to be held by death.


knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, will not die again. Death no longer lords over him!
