For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desires. He blesses the greedy and condemns YHWH.


Those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the multitude of their riches—


Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s lovingkindness endures continually.


arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,


Does an ax brag exalt itself above the one who chops with it? Does a saw make itself important than the one who saws with it? As if a rod should lifting the one who lifts it, or as a staff lifting up the one who isn’t wood.


“The king will do according to his will. He will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and will speak marvelous things against the God of gods. He will prosper until the indignation is accomplished, for that which is determined will be done.


He will speak words against the Most High, and will wear out the saints of the Most High. He will plan to change the times and the law; and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.


they do not need to their father or mother.’ By this, y’all have nullified the commandment of God for the sake of y’all’s tradition.


Then he said to them, “Y’all must beware and be on guard against all kinds of greed, for a person’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of possessions.”


The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all this and scoffed at him.


But y’all should love y’all’s enemies, and y’all should do good and lend expecting nothing in return. Then y’all’s reward will be great, and y’all will be children of the Most High, because ʜᴇ is kind toward the unthankful and evil.


A while back Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a about four hundred men joined him. But he was killed, and all those who followed him were dispersed, and it came to nothing.

not a drunkard, not violent, but gentle, peaceable, free from the desire for money.


For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves with many sorrows.


they are conceited and know nothing. They are obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word combat, from which come envy, infighting, blasphemy, evil suspicions,


traitors, reckless, conceited, pleasure-lovers rather than God-lovers,


However, if y’all fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” y’all are doing right.


As it is, y’all boast in y’all’s arrogance. All such boasting is evil.


But ʜᴇ gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”


Likewise, y’all who are younger, be subject to the elders. All y’all should clothe yourselves in humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”


especially those who indulge in the corrupt desires of theflesh and despise authority. Daring and arrogant, they are not afraid to insult glorious beings,


But these people are like animals who cannot reason but act only on instinct, born to be captured and destroyed. They blaspheme in matters about which they are ignorant, and in their destruction, they will be destroyed,


As they speak with high-sounding but empty words, they entice to the desires of the flesh and sensuality, those who are have barely escaped from those who live in error,


In greed, they will exploit y’all with deceptive words. Their judgement from of old is not idle, and their destruction is not sleeping.


These are grumblers and complainers, following after their desires. Their mouths speak proud things, flattering people to gain advantage.


Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns were ten crowns, and on its heads, a blasphemous name.


and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their anguish and their sores. They still didn’t repent of their deeds.


Massive hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven on humans. The humans blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague was exceedingly massive.


The humans were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give ʜɪᴍ glory.
