He has slandered your servant to my lord the king, but my lord the king is as an angel of God. Therefore do what is good in your eyes.


Now Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news came about Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel. His nurse picked him up and fled, but as she hurried to flee, he fell and became lame. His name was Mephibosheth.


Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. All who lived in Ziba’s house were servants to Mephibosheth.


The king said, “Is there not yet any of Saul’s house, that I may show the kindness of God to him?” Ziba said to the king, “Jonathan still has a son, who is lame in his feet.”


David said to him, “Don’t be afraid, for I will show-show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You will eat bread at my table continually.”


and changed his prison garments. Jehoiachin ate bread before him continually all the days of his life.
