But he stood in the middle of the plot and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and YHWH worked a great victory.


Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him YHWH had given victory to Syria; he was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.


He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where there was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.


Through God, we will do valiantly, for it is ʜᴇ who will tread down our enemies.


You are he who gives salvation to kings, who rescues David, his servant, from the deadly sword.


“Kings of armies flee! They flee!” The women waiting at home divide the plunder,

YHWH confused them before Israel. He killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.


Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time because YHWH, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.


YHWH delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they struck them, and chased them to great Sidon, and to Misrephoth Maim, and to the valley of Mizpah eastward. They struck them until they left them no one remaining.


When he came to Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him. Then the Spirit of YHWH came mightily on him, and the ropes that were on his arms became as flax that was burned with fire, and his bands dropped from off his hands.


He was very thirsty, and called on YHWH and said, “You have given this great deliverance by the hand of your servant. But now must I die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”


Saul said, “No man will be put to death today, because today YHWH has rescued Israel.”


So YHWH saved Israel that day; and the battle passed over by Beth Aven.


Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come! Let’s go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that YHWH will work for us, for there is no restraint on YHWH to save by many or by few.”


The children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they plundered their camp.


for he put his life in his hand and struck the Philistine, and YHWH worked a great victory for all Israel. You saw it and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?”
