Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters, and said, “Y’all get up and get out of this place! For YHWH will destroy the city!” But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be joking.


That which has been is that what will be, and that which has been done is that what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.


Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.


See, they ask me, “Where is the word of YHWH? Let it be fulfilled now.”


who say, ‘The time is not near to build houses. This is the cauldron, and we are the meat.’
