Then she came and told the man of God. He said, “Go, sell the oil, and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest.”


When the servant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. His servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What should we do?”


So he went with them. When they came to the Jordan, they began cutting down trees.


The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick, threw it in there, and made the iron float.


The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.


If the ax is blunt, and one doesn’t sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but skill brings success.


He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
