2 Kings 4:42 - Y'all Version Bible

42 A man from Baal Shalishah came, and brought the man of God some bread of the first fruits: twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. Elisha said, “Give to the people, that they may eat.”

Take with you ten loaves of bread, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will become of the child.”


Elisha came again to Gilgal. There was a famine in the land, and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him. He said to his servant, “Get the large pot and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.”


The king of Syria said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” He departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of clothing.


Elisha said, “Y’all must listen the word of YHWH. YHWH says, ‘About this time tomorrow a seah of fine flour will be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.’”


And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field; and the feast of ingathering, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field.


“I have given to you all the best of the oil, all the best of the vintage, and of the grain, the first fruits of them which they give to YHWH.


The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring to YHWH belongs to you. Everyone who is clean in your house may eat of it.


Then they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.


“A boy is here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many?”


If we have sown spiritual things among y’all, is it too much if we reap material things from y’all?


The one who is taught in the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches.


Y’all are to bring there y’all’s burnt offerings, sacrifices, tithes, gifts of y’all’s hand, what y’all’s vowed, free will offerings, and the firstborn of y’all’s herd and of flock.

He passed through the hill country of Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they didn’t find them. Then they passed through the land of Shaalim, and they weren’t there. Then he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they didn’t find them.


Then Saul said to his servant, “But suppose we do go, what should we bring the man? For the bread is spent in our sacks, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?”
