In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led Israel out and in. YHWH said to you, ‘You will be shepherd of my people Israel, and you will be prince over Israel.’”


YHWH said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before me. I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.


Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “YHWH, the God of Israel, says ‘You have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, and I have heard you.


Before Isaiah had gone out into the middle part of the city, the word of YHWH came to him, saying,


because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before YHWH when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you,’ says YHWH.


Look, God is with us at our head. Hɪꜱ priests are ready to sound the trumpets of alarm against y’all. Children of Israel, y’all must not fight against YHWH, the God of your* ancestors; for y’all will not succeed.”


For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, the Asherah poles, the engraved images, and the molten images.


Hᴇ sends ʜɪꜱ word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.


I declared my ways, and you answered me. Teach me your statutes.


Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.


Hᴇ heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.


YHWH is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.


“Hear my prayer, YHWH, and give ear to my cry. Don’t be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were.


You count my wanderings. You put my tears into your container. Aren’t they in your book?


Then my enemies will turn back in the day that I call. I know this: that God is for me.


May all my enemies be overwhelmed with shame and terror. They will turn back and suddenly be disgraced.


You who hear prayer, all flesh will come to you.


Sins overwhelmed me, but you atoned for our transgressions.


He said, “If you will listen-listen to the voice of YHWH your God will, do what is right in ʜɪꜱ eyes, pay attention to ʜɪꜱ commandments, and keep all ʜɪꜱ statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians, for I am YHWH who heals you.”


YHWH said, “I have seen-seen the misery of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their slave drivers, for I know their sorrows.


Now look! The cry of the children of Israel has come to me. I have seen their oppression and how the Egyptians oppress them.


YHWH will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to YHWH, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.


Hezekiah also had said, “What is the sign that I will go up to the house of YHWH?”


“Go, and tell Hezekiah, ‘YHWH, the God of your father David, says, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Look, I will add fifteen years to your life.


Turn y’all’s ear and come to me. Listen, and y’all’s soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with y’all, even the sure mercies of David.


‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ Hᴇ is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”


But the angel told him, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to name him John.


“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one was a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

“Y’all look and see that I myself am he. There is no god besides me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.
